The blue spheres you grab will transform into red spheres. If the blue energy spheres are in a square formation, collect the ones along the outer edge of the square. All the blue spheres that make up the square will then turn into gold rings. Once you’ve collected all of the blue spheres, a Chaos Emerald will appear. If you grab a yellow energy sphere during this stage you’ll catapult for a distance of 5 spheres. Red and white star spheres are bumpers that ricochet you in the opposite direction. Many useful kinds of plants grow here (i.e. bouncing mushrooms, floating mushrooms . . .). Explore and see how they can help you. Act 1 Start off by running to the far right through the loop and grab a pair of speed shoes. Continue right and use the swing bar to go up. Jump over the spikes on your right and then spin dash through the loop. Hit the yellow spring and then go up the swing bar. Jump onto the Pull Push Up Machine and pull yourself up to the green ledge (jump on the handle of the machine and press the D-pad down). Now go right, down the hillside and use the See-Saw Mushroom (jump on the mushroom without the weight) to go up to another green ledge. Go right and drop off the edge. Spin dash through the loops; if you get caught by the green sticky vine, spin dash away. Hit the yellow spring on the right edge. You’ll land on a cliffside mushroom; go to the right before the mushroom falls. Hit the Star Post to the right and then continue right to another cliffside mushroom. Jump right and then spin dash through the loops on your right. At the end of your loop ride, a sticky vine will catch you. Spin-dash off to the right and continue right through the loops to face the mid - boss. . . Mid - boss: Paul Logine Weapons: Uses an ax to cut down the trees in the background. The pieces of timber then shoot off, ready to do damage. Movement: Hovers in the upper-right throwing logs. Sometimes the machine may swoop down to hit you. Environment: Trees make up the background along with a blue sky. How to defeat: Go to the bottom right corner of the screen and wait for Paul Logine to stop throwing his logs. Hit him from the bottom, but be careful; his thrusters can easily make you a well-done hero. Act 2 From the end of Act 1, dash off to the right and confront Knuckles. The twisted little menace Knuckles doesn’t want to hear anything you have to say. So he flicks a switch that sends you into the autumn version of the Mushroom Hill Zone. Go right and use the See-Saw mushroom to get to the ledge on the right. Walk down the large brown vine (curved down) and use the red spring on the left. Hold right after you spring off and you’ll land near (or run into) a yellow spring. Spin-dash into the yellow spring and then continue right over a pair of spikes. Spin-dash to get away from the brown sticky vine and then jump up to a parachute mushroom. Cruise down collecting the rings, and then go right until you reach another parachute mushroom. Ride the para-mushroom up to a See Saw mushroom. Use the See Saw mushroom to go up and then right, to a Star Post. Keep right to a red spring that springs you through a loop. Continue running right and bounce into a yellow spring. Go through the tunnel and experience the color-lacking autumn Mushroom Hill Zone. Spin-dash down the hill and go through the loops. Go right until you reach a Pull Push Up Machine. Use the machine to go up; then go right and use the see saw machine to go up again. Pass the Star Post and then prepare to face the Boss. . . Boss: Dr. Robotnik’s Getaway Pod Weapons: A row of spiked spheres positioned between two poles. The row of spiked balls come one after another as you run to the right. Movement: Hovers backwards going between the two poles. Robotnik doesn’t shoot anything from his getaway machine. Environment: Background is made up of trees and a blue sky. How to defeat: Dodge the spiked spheres positioned between the poles by timing your jumps. This will allow you to hit Dr. Robotnik’s pod when the thrusters are off. Flying Battery Zone After defeating the first Boss, Robotnik tries to make a getaway in his warship. Grab hold and do battle inside this dangerous war machine. Watch where you step though, because sneaky traps are everywhere! Act 1 First jump onto the jet sled (directly in front of you) and it will take you into Robotnik’s Flying Battery. Go down the grid tube and then exit the tube on the right. Go right and get onto a floating platform that will take you down. Now jump to the ceiling handles to your left. The last ceiling handle will lower you down. Jump off the handle and then jump to another ceiling handle to the left. Again the last ceiling handle will lower you down. From this handle, jump directly to another handle on the right or you’ll be toasted by the flame thrower. Jump off the last handle and go right, to the outside area. Go to the edge of the outside platform and jump to one of the floating platform circling on the right. From this set of platforms, jump to the single floating platform (moving up and down) and then to the outside ceiling handles. Drop down to another floating platform and then jump right, to a pair of circling platforms. Jump right again to a floating platform, jump to the ledge on the right and get on the jet sled. Go left and hit the Star Post. Jump in the grid tube on the left and hold the D- pad left to make it to the other side. Spin-dash up the curved wall on the left and then jump on the flame thrower to spring up. Once you stop, use the jet sled to go up and grab the ceiling handle. Jump left onto the floating platform and then use the snake like platform to go up and left to a ledge (you can even use the pipes the platform come out of.). From the ledge, go left to a flame thrower and use it to spring outside. Go right to the spinning pole with propellers, hold right on the D- pad and then jump to the next pole. Move up the pole and watch out for the missiles. Use the spinning poles to go right, by holding right on the D-pad, and jumping off the poles. At the far right, go down and then left; pass the jet sled to a floating platform that will take you down into the Flying Battery. Go right, pass the magnetic ceiling and hit the Star Post. Press the grey button on the ledge and then drop down. Go left to the curved wall and then spin-dash up onto the ledge. Use the curved walls by timing your spin-dashes so that you land on the moving platform. At the top of this corridor there’s a spinning sphere with two platforms on either side that you must get by to go any further. Jump on one of the arms when it is coming to the right; quickly jump on the sphere itself and then to the ledge on the left. Use the yellow spring to go up and then use the jet sled to dash off. Hold the D-pad right after the jet sled throws you off to the right. Once you land and the ground collapses, go right, underneath the magnetic ceiling, and hit the Star Post. Continue right by hitting the red springs and then hit another red spring to go up a curved wall. The spring will send you flying near a set of spikes. Use the magnetic platform (it rises when the magnetic ceiling is on) to get to the upper right ledge. Go right to another magnetic platform, use it to go up and then use the yellow spring to go up further. Jump on the jet sled that will sends you outside. Go to the far right, and wait for the parachuting bombs to open a hole near the right wall. Hold right on the D-pad once you drop down and you will go through a grid tube over a large gap to the Star Post. Continue right to meet the Mid - Boss . . Mid - Boss: Spike Weapons: Two huge spike spheres connected to arms. Movement: Body stays stationary; only the arms move. Environment: Grid like background, blue in color. How to defeat: Jump on the yellow button and wait for Spike’s eyes to flash. Once his eyes flash, jump off and Spike will hit himself with a spiked sphere. Act 2 From the Act 1 sign, go right and jump on the jet sled. Move to the right and jump on the red spring. Spin-dash to go right and jump on the ceiling handles. Use the side handles to lower yourself down, but watch out for the spikes. Jump down and then go right, down a grid tube. At the bottom, go up by spin-dashing left and hit the grey button (this will raise the yellow and black barrier). Go down by using the cork screw pole and then spin-dash right, before you’re smashed into the floor. Hit the grey button and go down by using another cork screw pole. Spin-dash to the right once you see a corridor on the right side. Take the floating platform down to the outside of the Flying Battery. Once outside, spin-dash to the right and hold the D-pad right to successfully make it to the other side. Use the jet sled to go up and then go left, underneath the magnetic ceiling. Spin-dash up the curved wall on the left and then go left to a grey button. Hit the button and then use the cork screw pole to go up. Jump off to the right and get on the flame thrower to spring up. Hit yet another grey button and then wait for a magnetic platform to rise. Take the platform down and then go right to another magnetic platform. Take the platform up and then jump to the ceiling handles. Use the ceiling handles to go right to another magnetic platform and take it down. Go right to yet another magnetic platform and take it up. Use the ceiling handles again to go right and then jump off to the right. Walk right, to the Carry Spider, and stand underneath it. The Carry Spider will take you across to the other side. Go right, to the ceiling handles and use the middle one to go down. Jump right, to another set of handles and use the last one to go down. Drop off and hit the grey button. Drop down, hit the Star Post and then go right underneath the magnetic ceiling. Get on the cork screw pole and go up. Spin dash to the right and hold the D- pad to the right. Now use the magnetic platforms to go up and then right, to meet the mini boss . . . Mini Boss: Laser Eye Weapon: Ceiling laser. Movement: Moves left to right, warming up for a laser blast. Environment: Small area between two beams. How to defeat: Dodge the beam and allow it to destroy itself. The Laser eye is about to fire once it turns to faint purple (a very off color). The act isn’t over; run to the right and hit the Star Post after defeating the laser eye. The floor is now moving up, so be very careful you may be squashed! From the Star Post, run right and use the red spring. Now use the yellow spring to collect the rings and then go right. At the monitor (10 rings), wait for the floor to push you up a corridor. Now wait for the Boss . . . Boss: Monkey Smoke Weapons: Flaming spout. Movement: Uses arms (like a monkey) to move left and right, and also swings up and down. Environment: You’re battling in the sky so the background is blue with white clouds. You’re made to do battle on small thin platform; luckily you can’t fall off. How to defeat: Hit Robotnik when he swings up above the platform. Sandopolis Zone Destruction of the Flying Battery wasn’t easy, but you did it! You’ve jumped to safety away from the exploding warship, but landed into another zone taken over by Robotnik. No desert has shiftier sands than this treacherous terrain. Use the sands to your advantage. Time your attack on the Skorp just right or you’ll get stunned! Act 1 Press A, B, or C to come up out of the sand, then go right and stand behind the small sandfall. Press A, B, or C to jump up the sandfall. At the top, go right, past the Skorp to a sand block. Push the sand block over the right edge and then ride it across to the other side. Go right, down the sand slides. At the bottom, go right and jump onto a handle that will lower you down. Jump off when the rope handle swings back and forth near a group of columns. Go right, through the columns and bounce into the yellow spring on the right side of the columns. Once you go through a loop, go right, to a sand block. Push the sand block over the edge and then ride it to an arm raising platform. Ride the arm platform up and then go to the right. Pass the Skorp and get onto another arm raising platform. From the platform, jump to the moving column (moves up and down) and then to a ledge on the left. Jump up the sandfall on the left and then go right. Continue right, pass a Star Post and slide down the sand slides. At the bottom, watch out for the sandworms and then go right to get out of the quicksand. There’s some moving spikes here that are impossible to jump over. Instead of jumping over the spikes, follow them to the right and then go up the sandfall. Jump down out of the sandfall when the spikes are on your left and go right. Push the sand block off the right edge and jump onto it. Ride across the gap and then go right, past the walking block. Go up the slope by spin-dashing and then go up the sand slide by using the sand blocks. At the top of the slide go right and bounce into the yellow spring. This will send you into a sandfall. Press right on the D-Pad to land on the ledge on the right. Go through the group of columns (watch out for the spikes) and grab the rope handle on the right. Go down on the rope, jump off and then go to the right, through a group of columns. On the right side of the columns, bounce into the yellow spring; then in mid-air hold the D-pad right, toward the sandfall. Jump up the sandfall and then jump to the arm raising platform on the right. Hit the Star Post and then jump onto the rope handle. Once you reach the bottom (by jumping off the wall), jump off the rope, push the sand block over the right edge and then ride it over part of the quicksand pit. The block will not reach the other side so you’ll have to jump to the right for safety. Jump on the ledge and then go to the far right until you reach a yellow spring on a wall, on the right side. Bounce into it and you’ll spring into a funky sand wave (flows to the right, on the ceiling). Allow the wave to take you and then jump down once you stop against a wall. Go right, pass two moving columns (move up and down) and use the arm raising platforms to go up, then left. Go left through a loop and hold the D-pad left in mid-air to hit the red spring. Watch for the Skorp when you land and then use the arm raising platform on the right. Jump up off the platform and go right until you reach the edge. From the edge quickly jump to the rope handle on the right. Jump off the handle and go right, through the group of columns and hit the Star Post. Go right until you reach an edge and take a leap to the mid - boss . . . Mid - Boss: Sand Mummy Weapons: He tries to stomp on you. Movement: Moves to the left trying to stomp on you. Environment: Battling in front of a yellow pyramid. Background is a golden sandy yellow. How to defeat: Wait for the mummy to come out of the pyramid and then stand up. If you don’t wait for the Sand Mummy to form, he won’t come after you. Go to the left and jump in the quicksand. Keeping jumping straight up in order to keep from sinking. The Sand Mummy will come toward you and blow up once it touches the quicksand. (Sand mummy. . . Quicksand. . .sand and sand...???? Only the programmers know why!) Act 2 You’ve now entered a dark pyramid. Go right and turn on the lights by pulling the light handle. Continue right over a quicksand pit and push a sliding lever to drop the barrier. Quickly go right, pull the light handle and push another sliding lever. Go right and slide down the sand slide. To jump off the infinite sand slide, jump up to another sand slide when you see the arm raising platform. This will send you past a Star Post and into a light handle. Jump to the right and push the sliding lever. Go right and bounce off the string of spheres. Once you land, push the sand block off the edge, ride the block to the other side and quickly go right, underneath the barrier that’s coming down. Jump right, onto the arm moving platform and then jump to the hand rope on the right. Jump down the wall using the hand rope, then jump off the rope and push the sliding lever to the right (inside the group of columns). Now quickly go right and use the arm raising platforms to go up. Wait for the huge moving column to go up and then spin dash to the left. Use the yellow springs on the right to go up before the barrier above you closes. Jump up and go right (watch out for the Skorp) until you see a yellow spring. Bounce into the yellow spring (watch out for the spikes on your right) and you’ll land near a Star Post. Bounce into the yellow springs on the right wall and then go right once you pass the moving column. Quickly push the sliding lever, before you’re smashed into the barriers. Go up, pass the barriers and quickly (I mean quickly) go right, past the spikes. Wait for the sand to push you up and then push the sliding lever. Go to the far right and the dash is over. Use the arm swinging platform to go up and grab the light handle (watch out for the spikes). Jump down and push the sliding lever that opens the barrier on the right. Quickly jump down before the barrier closes. Go right and jump on the swinging arm platform. Jump to the hand rope and use the wall to jump down. Go right until you reach a yellow spring. You’ll go through a loop and then land in a quicksand pit. Jump onto the column on your right and then to the column on your left. Continue left, over some spikes to a hand rope. Go down jumping from wall to wall using the hand rope. At the bottom, jump off the rope, go right (past a Star Post) and down a sand slide. How to defeat: Wait for Robophinx’s left arm (the arm in the foreground) to extend, jump on it and then hit his head. Now the bricks will leave the Doctor open for a flashing hit. Lava Reef Zone If you thought defeating the Sand Mummy was tough, wait until you run off to the right from the mummy and deal with this zone. Welcome to the hottest spot on Floating Island! It’s sure to make you sweat. Beware of the exploding lava rocks and the Toxomisters that poison the air. Act 1 After falling into this hot spot, spin-dash through the breakable wall on the right. Go right until you reach a barrier. You can raise the barrier by hitting the yellow button to the left of the wall. Once the barrier rises, jump right over the lava by using the floating lava rocks. Now go right, up the steps and continue right until you reach another barrier. Hit the yellow button to raise the barrier. Spin-dash to the right through a breakable wall. This will send you down a spiral walkway and flying off to the left. Once you land, walk left to a yellow spring. Jump on the spring and hold to the left (to the right there is a Star Post). Watch out for the two swinging spike balls as you make your way left to a barrier. Hit the green gunner above the barrier and it will rise. Walk left and get on a Spin-dash Machine. This will spring you up and to the right; land next to a big spiked ball. Go right, underneath a spiked platform and keep right to another spiked platform. Jump on the platform and then jump off to the left. Spin-dash through the breakable wall and keep left up some steps. At the top of the steps, jump right onto a platform and then jump right again before it collapses. Go right, up the steps and continue right to an area with collapsing platforms. The three-fingered hand rises from the bottom of the screen and tries to smash you. How to defeat: Destroy the rotating gunners by hitting them 4 times each. The gunners appear first and then the hand rises up after the gunners descend. The gunners will descend and then rise again after the hand descends, even though you didn’t destroy them yet. When the gunners begin to descend, start running left and right to avoid the three-fingered hand. The hand will follow you and try to smash you. Once the hand slams down on the ground, bounce on top of it. You need to hit the hand 6 times to defeat it. Environment: Red and orange lava background. You’re walking across lava rocks. Act 2 From the Act 1 finishing sign post, go to the far right until you see a blue background and a flame blower above you. Jump up and go right, to a green barrier. Hit the yellow button above the green barrier to raise it. Go right until you reach two Robotnik monitors. From the monitors, go as far left as possible without jumping. Now jump to the moving block (moves left to right) above by using the steps to the left. Once on the block, jump to the right onto another moving block (moves left to right). Then jump left to a stationary platform with 5 gold rings on it. Collect the gold rings and then jump left to a moving platform (moves up and down). From here, jump right to another moving platform (moves left to right). Jump up to a rotating cylinder above you (grab the handles on the cylinder) and then jump up to the next rotating cylinder (grab handles). Now jump up to the walkway above the rotating cylinder. Once on the green platform (a yellow spring to the left), go right by working your way through the moving blocks. Continue right by spin-dashing through the breakable barrier. Drop down and bounce into the yellow spring. The spring will send you down a twisted corridor and then you’ll fly up. Go right, past a triple set of spiked spheres circling small poles. Go right and the ground will collapse. Now go left, drop down and then go right, to a Star Post. Hit the yellow button on the right to open the barrier. Go right, jumping quickly off the collapsing platforms. Continue right, to a platform with a spike circling it. Now jump to the platform up and to the left. Jump to the moving platform on your left, jump to the left again and then go left until you reach a yellow spring. Use the yellow spring to go along the ceiling and then jump off the ceiling to land on a twin moving platform. Use the platforms and make your way up the large set of steps on the right. Knuckles catches you by surprise and pushes a huge Crystal Boulder down at you. After you tumble down the steps, jump from platform to platform, working your way to the right. You also have to dodge Robotnik’s missiles. After the Star Post (do not try for a bonus stage), jump across the pit of lava using the lava blocks (slowly dropping down the waterfall). At the last block (no more to the right), jump off and onto the stationary platform with that has a monitor on it. Make your way left using the small stationary platforms, and jump on a small moving lava block (slowly moving down). Ride the block down and prepare to meet the Boss . . . Boss: Lava Marine Weapons: Spiked bombs. Movement: Submerges under the lava and then rises up in the right or left corner (so try to stay in the middle). Use the lava blocks to stay off the lava. The background is just orange and red lava. How to defeat: Jump from lava block to lava block and allow the spiked bombs to hit the Lava Marine. Hidden Palace Zone Note: Knuckles simply walks to the right in this zone and use the teleportation pad. Run to the far right and jump on the teleportation pad. The pad will teleport you up to the next level. Again run to the far right, but this time you’ll meet Knuckles for a duel. After beating the Lava Marine, you somehow walked into this mysterious palace. Sneaking up on Knuckles was an accident. Now you have to show him why the game is Sonic & Knuckles and not Knuckles & Sonic. Let’em know who’s the SEGA mascot! Act 1 DUEL with KNUCKLES Boss: Knuckles Weapons: His echidna knuckles. Movement: Glides from the left side of the screen to the right side and vice versa Environment: Background has a huge picture like object on the wall. How to defeat: Hit Knuckles when he glides in the air or once he lands in the left or right corner. Don’t worry; Knuckles is all talk. He’s a wimp. After beating the truth into Knuckles (Uh? What? Righteous violence), Dr. Robotnik takes off with the Master Emerald that powers the Floating Island. Leave the Hidden Palace zone by using the teleport pad and you’ll enter the Sky Sanctuary Zone . . . Sky Sanctuary Zone Note: This is the last zone for Knuckles. You’ve teleported high into the heavens. Battle it out with more of Robotnik’s Badniks on these floating ruins of an ancient time. Act 1 Don’t panic, but watch your step because a 40-mile drop is no joke!!! Watch out for Dr. Robotnik’s flying clones. The whole sanctuary is made up of huge platforms moving up and down, which helps because you can easily jump up to the next level. You can’t always jump up though. You may need to use the teleportation pads to go up. Also use the puffy white clouds to bounce on, but don’t be fooled by the clear clouds. Bosses Knuckles will fight. Movement: Jumps up and attacks with a flying spin-dash attack. He also uses a spin-dash attack on the ground. Environment: You’re battling in the sky. There are no platforms, so jump away or spin-dash to safety when Robotic Sonic is attacking you. How to defeat: Only attack this steel clone when he is in the left or right corner standing up. This is when he is preparing for an attack and is most vulnerable. Note: Only Sonic can explore next few Zones (or Tails if you’re locked on to Sonic 3). Death Egg Zone Let’s get ready to rumbllllllle. . .from the heavens to the Death Egg. Face the bald belligerent man in his own territory, the Death Egg! Dr. Robotnik has laid this egg in space and it’s orbiting Sonic Earth. Act 1 This level is very difficult to give direction on. The screens in this level look very similar. There are devices in this zone that cause a switch in gravity. This means you could easily walk upside down and then go back where you came from without knowing it. Just feel assured that there are no dead ends. If you are stopped, always remember there is some way out. Use the jet slides, springs, and light tubes. Light tubes are devices that are activated by certain spots near edges. A little counter comes up, counts down the launch and then a ring of lights circles you as you twist and turn in mid-air. Light tubes are just for show. They drop you in areas you could have gotten to without the help of a light tube. Mid - Boss: Lazer - the one-eyed Bandit 1st Form Weapons: Metal spheres that spin around rapidly. Movement: Lazer herself is stationary. The metal spheres circle the cylinder portion of where her eye is contained (position in the middle of screen). Environment: A metallic-looking room inside the Death Egg. How to defeat: Jump and hit Lazer’s eye once her spheres circle downward. Watch out because each hit to her eye will make one of the metal spheres explode. 2nd Form Weapons: Two spiked platforms and a laser eye. Movement: Hovers around and circles her platforms. Environment: A metallic-looking room inside the Death Egg. How to defeat: Hit the laser eye and then quickly jump onto one of the platforms before they start spinning frantically and hit you. Act 2 There’s a Gravitation Room (no gravity) in this act that contains a moving object with 6 yellow lights on it (moves up and down). You’re stuck in this room until you bounce into each yellow light and cause it to turn red. The room is closed off by huge glass springs. Use the glass springs and yellow or red springs to bounce into the yellow lights. The key to getting out of this Gravitation Room is timing your bounces and directions. Note: Act 1 and 2 of the Death Egg Zone has a bridge made up of blocks. If you stand on the far left block, the bridge will rise on the right, and vice versa. Use the bridge to get to a higher platform to the left or right. Boss: Gravitator Weapons: Moving spiked time bombs. Movement: Hovers left to right ,dropping the spiked bombs. Environment: You’re inside the Death Egg where Dr. Robotnik is standing to the right, controlling the Gravitator. How to defeat: Use the gravity transports on the right side to transport from the ceiling to the ground floor. The Gravitator receives damage when you transport to the ceiling and the spikes of a spiked time bomb hit the Gravitator. Once the Gravitator is destroyed, go to the right and ready yourself to do battle with Robotnik, who now has the Master Emerald. Last Boss: Dr. Robotnik’s Emerald-Powered Goliath Space Suit 1st Form Weapons: Huge metal hands that try to squash you. Movement: Both hands move in unison, left to right, and then slam down to the platform. Environment: The Death Egg. How to defeat: Hit Robotnik’s Goliath clone when its hands are down on the ground. Hit each finger 3 times to send this giant crying. 2nd Form Weapons: Flame thrower and a Mighty Emerald Laser. Movement: Slowly moves toward you, coming from the left side of the screen. Environment: You’rer running on a platform that’s slowly collapsing from the left. How to defeat: Dodge the flame and then hit the Master Emerald portion of Dr. Robotnik’s contraption. Hit the Master Emerald portion right before it fires. This will help you dodge the massive beam of emerald power. You can tell when the Emerald is about to fire because the sound it makes turns high-pitched and speeds up. After you destroy Robotnik’s Goliath space suit, he’ll try to make a escape with the Master Emerald in his Getaway Pod. Stop Robotnik by hitting his pod. Watch out because the platform is collapsing behind you, to the left. For Super Sonic Only Sonic the Super Hedgehog vs. Dr. Robotnik Doomsday Zone Mid - Boss: Robotnik’s Missile Commander Weapons: Missiles and bombshots. Movement: Flies quickly toward the right, shooting missiles. Environment: Inside an asteroid belt. The background is the planet Earth. How to defeat: Dodge the missiles and try to make them hit the upper right portion of the Missile Commander. You can speed up momentarily and dodge the missiles by pressing A, B, or C. Last Boss: Robotnik’s Last Chance Weapons: Nothing. Movement: Warp 4, stage right. Environment: Clustered asteroid belt. How to defeat: Hit Dr. Robotnik anywhere; just take’em down and get the Master Emerald back. You defeated Dr. Robotnik, but in the midst of the battle you forgot to destroy the Death Egg.
