Their first real videogame was a wery primitive arcadegame, called Astro Invader. The money they earned at the game, was used to build the compagny bigger. In the the next couple years it diden't go quite as good as the compagny had expected. But this changed quick, when they started makeing games for a new japanese system, called Famicom, which quick came on the american market under the name NES. KONAMI was one of the first firms, which signed a contractwith Nintendo, and when they discovered, that the NES sold so great, they started makeing NES-versions of their great arcadegames. Now the money started roling in. In the middle and the late 80's KONAMI became a very big name in the Videogame business, and titles like Gradius, Castlevania, Track & Field sold better than anybody ever could imagine. KONAMI haven't given up on the NES, but they admit, that they haven't got that many new ideas for the old NES. Maybe the future will be conversions of SNES and GAMEBOY games. CAMCO COMPUTER A/S had imported and sold about 500 different Gameboy and NES games to different Computerstores all over Denmark. COMCO COMPUTER A/S was also sentenced to hand over a possibly store of illegal Nintendo copies to Electronic Fun I/S. Another firm called INTERCOM DENMARK, was also sentenced to pay Electronic Fun I/S a compensation at 20.000 Dkr (about $1200), because they had made and sold illegal Nintendo machines whith built-in games. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Nintendo kills the NES! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I don't think any licenses have come out with any NES games after Wario's Woods. The country is controled by the BY : Taito dictatorial emperor Garuda. The violence rule. ------------------ People dissapear without leaving a trace.... PLAYERS: 1 - 2 The job to get rid of the bad Garuda is instructed ------------------ to the ninjas Hayate and Kaede. As single player SAVING : no you can choose who you want to be, and if you are ------------------ two players, you can play together. The game is Other : Continue about jumping and fighting thru lots of stages and ------------------ levels. The sword get better, when you find power-ups, and you can also be lucky to find some bombs. This is a gome with very small sprites and bad graphics (though the bosses are very cool), but the control is quite good, and the figures do what you want them to do. If you like this type of game, can Blue Shadow be worth the money, but it's not one of the best. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Adventures of Bayou Billy ------------------ Bayou Billy is definitive no Ninja, but more a BY : Konami kind of attempt to ride the on the Indiana Jones and ------------------ Crocodile Dundee wave. The only reason why this game PLAYERS: 1 is in the zine is, that it fell down from the shelf, ------------------ when I were looking for some games. And this was a SAVING : no game I never tried when it was new, so why don't I ------------------ give it a try. Konami are not used to release bad Other : Zapper games, and Bayou Billy has a exiteing presentation. ------------------ You're an adventurer, who's girlfriend Annabelle has Been kidnaped by the fool Gordon and his gang. Thru a lot of different stages you have to do a lot of hiting, whipping and shoot you to Gordons hideout and save Annabelle. The opening is very beautiful and has a little bit sampled voice. Bill can kick and fight and collect various things just like in Double Dragon. Unfortunately is the control not the best, but the game is though worth buying. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Tips & Trics! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: *************************************************************************** Batman-Return of the Joker: level codes 1 - 2 MDRR 2 - 1 NMLL 2 - 2 NWKL 3 - 1 LGZQ 3 - 2 GPTW 4 - 1 GNXF 4 - 2 KHCN 5 - 1 QGVN 5 - 2 WBZT 6 - 1 FFHG 6 - 2 CKQG 7 - 1 GPZT J.
