Thanks to Catalin Marinas who was very kind to take the time to update the patch for version 4.40 :)

This patch is really neat. What it does is it takes the index and after pressing the letter "k" collapses to one line all the subjects that are related "eg: "Hello" and "Re: Hello", showing you how many were collapsed. It's useful for people suscribed to mailing lists.
 

Pressing the letter "D" or "U" over a message in the index (after pressing "K" will cause that messages that were collapsed to the same line will be marked deleted or undeleted).

The following is a real example: This is the index of my www-lib incoming folder:

The numbers in parenthesis indicate how many of them were collapsed to the same subject. This index is a ZOOMED index as you can read in the first line. If you unzoom you will read all the subjects again. Pressing "k" again restores the folder to its original display.

Bugs: If you want to do it for non local news first you have to Unexclude all messages and then press the letter "k", otherwise the patch will confuse the message numbers.
