Select messages by the content of an arbitrary header
Patch is available for version: pine 4.58 pine 4.60 pine 4.61 pine 4.62 pine 4.63 pine 4.64

This patch adds an option so that you can select messages that contain specific text in an arbitrary header.

In order to use this patch, you should select messages in the normal way you do. Press ; T to select messages by Text, then press H to indicate the name of the header. Once you have indicated the name of the header, enter the text in that header to match.

If you wish to select messages whose content in the specified header do not match the text that you are thinking of looking for, simply press ; ! H. This will tell Pine to look for messages whose header that you will indicate later do not match the text specified by you. Unfortunately this also matches messages that do not contain the specified header.

Examples
  • To search for messages that contain the text Yes in the header X-Spam-Status press ; T H then you will see a prompt that says:

    Name of HEADER to match:

enter X-Spam-Status, now you will see a prompt that says

String in message X-Spam-Status to match :
