This patch was written by Stephen Casner.

This patch tries to solve the following problem. Assume that you have set the index-color settings as follows:

Name		Foreground	Background	Explanation
normal-color	=			black on white
reverse-color	=			blue on white

Assume now that you add a special color for special people, say something like

Name		Foreground	Background	Explanation
index-color	=			black on yellow

The question is how will your index look like? Pine usually reverses colors when it puts the cursor in any index line. This idea will make messages that should follow your index-color configuration option look as   yellow on black  , when you put the cursor over such message, which is the opposite of what you configured. This patch will make Pine highlight these kind of messages as  Blue on Yellow . A full explanation of what the patch does is incorporated in the patch by itself.
