Caracolix - Lights Out

Lights Out let you turn your computer's monitor off directly from the screen by pressing a button.

This - some times - is more convenient than using the monitor's switch and much better than any screen saver because when the screen is off it can't burn itself nor waste energy.

To turn the monitor off

Just click on the rocker switch.

To turn the monitor back on

Move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard.

Running at Start

When the program starts for the first time it will prompt if you want it to be launched automatically every time windows starts.

You have only one chance to set this option. After the first time, no matter what was your answer, the program will never ask again.

If you answered NO and later decide you want it to start automatically click on the blue line that reads http://caracolix.com [click to go Now!]

Select the menu option Run at Start. Once it is set, a web browser instance will point to caracolix web site. The page will open if there is an Internet connection. The menu will no longer be available once the command is set but the link to caracolix will allways be available.

Repositioning the bar

If you want to position the bar in another location, just move it to that location and slide the mouse over the rocker switch or the text lines. A requester will ask you if you want to make this new position permanent. If you anwer is Yes, then the bar will open in that place the next time the program is run. If you answer was No then it will open at the default location (close to the windows tray).

This program can be used free. No registration nor payment is necessary to license it use. Please come to caracolix from time to time. Give us a visit, perhaps you find something that may interest you.
