Any operation with money must have source and destination, named account.
You can operate any number of accounts.
Account can have any currency.
Account can be passive. Passive accounts can't be the source of transactions.
Any operation with money is called transaction.
You can operate any number of transactions.
Transaction must have destination "to" account.
Transaction can have source "from" account.
Transaction have many useful properties like:
- date and time,
- notes,
- checkboxes,
- popup lists.
Four of popup lists are called categories. You can fully manage them.
Filters are intended to make reports by defining conditions for any
transaction properties.
Filters can be used for autofilling by providing default values
for new transactions.
Any transaction which have both destination and source account consists of
two related parts.
Cross transactions are useful:
- To store each part of transaction in different currency.
- To store own amount of money in each part of transaction, for example when taking percent during wireless transfer.
- To remember current exchange rate in transacation for amount of money in some currency.
You can see all your data on your PC using free
Handy Finance Desktop.
It allows to import and view all your data, make reports and export them to Excel.
There are three modifications of Handy Finance, intended to satisfy any your needs:
- Lite, freeware
- Personal, $20
- Full, $35 (upgrade from personal $16)
All of them allow you to enter any data, and they differ in advanced abilities,
such as data analysing and managing.
